I discovered the OH cards at a store called Paradise Found in Santa Barbara, California. I’m retired now (at age almost 86), but still do an occasional workshop and some supervision. I’m a psychotherapist specializing in working with children and adolescents. I’ve traveled the world giving seminars and for many years conducted a two-week training program that drew people from around the world.

I’ve used many creative and projective techniques and found the OH cards to be a favorite. We used them in many ways. One way would be telling a continuation story by picking a card and adding to the story according to the card’s picture. Another way would be picking a card, becoming the picture, and telling about oneself. Often, the child or adult who drew the card would say something that he or she could own for themselves. Sometimes, we would pick cards that represented how we saw ourselves: past, present, and future.

The methods using OH Cards are endless.
